Period 3 - Semester Final

1. What is your favorite photo from Picture of the Day Syria and Elsewhere? Provide three reasons that it is your favorite.

My favorite picture from Picture of the Day Syria and Elsewhere is picture nine. Picture nine is my favorite picture in this series because it give a very mysterious feeling to it. The figure of the deer is there but you cant actually see it. I also like how the bird is resting on top off the deer. Lastly I like the background the way the fog covers the trees shows great background.

2. Which photo is the best from the slideshow? Provide three reasons.

The best picture would have to go to picture two. This picture is a very realistic picture. You  have the mother with her two crying children and a guard's arm pointing to the direction they have to go. This picture displays the rule of thirds with the man standing on the left. In the background there is a ton of stuff going on u have the guards then the panicked civilians. There is also a shallow depth of field in this picture.

3.  What is your best work this semester? Include the blog link. Give three reasons why this is your best work. If you had more time, how would you do to improve the project.

My best work this semester would have to be the album cover picture that I took. This is the best picture because my understanding of Photoshop shop was the best at this time compared to all the other picture. I believe that the picture is a great replication of the album cover Promised Land. The background also adds great to why I think this is the best picture. The way the background starts of light and as you go down gets darker and darker.

4.   You chose three rules of composition. What are your three rules?

My rules of composition are the Rule of Symmetry, Rule of Lines, and the Rule of Thirds.

5.  Select one of your own photos that illustrates your ability to apply at least two of the three rules. Insert the photo into the post and label the picture. Clearly include the two rules of composition that you are using.
Rule of Symmetry
This picture shows the rule of lines because it has many lines that the eyes are drawn too. This picture also displays the rule of thirds because of the tree at the top right.
